I am a fan and friend to the amazing Philena Carter, singer and songwriter in a band called Stanley Ave based in Las Vegas. She is in need of immediate assistance.

The indie music community take care of each other and Philena is certainly part of our extended family. She is a true talent and light and needs our help.

On June 6th, Philena was riding her Segway and was hit by a truck. That accident left her:

• In an out of consciousness for several days
• With a severe brain injury
• Unable to walk without assistance
• A acute skull fracture and staples on both sides of her head
• Unable to hear out of her right ear
• Eyes not working correctly
• Vocal chords paralyzed on the right side
• Motor skills impacted and delayed
• Writing, speaking, communicating, grasping things very difficult
• With spine trauma

Philena is facing at least two months of physical therapy and appointments. She cannot work. Let's help this lovely and talented person get back on her feet. Anything will help. Take care of yourselves and each other. Thank you!
