We have been held by our comrades in different Justice Movements to understand the complexity of this crisis. And are honored to be invited by Puerto Rican comrades to participate in the unique opportunity that is at hand, as Puerto Rico decides what to rebuild and how to build anew.
Our collective of farmers, seed keepers, teachers, birth workers, carpenters, street medics, mental health first responders, artists, healers and lovers will arrive in Puerto Rico on Thanksgiving Day as an act of solidarity and to be deployed as the first brigade to participate in the Puerto Rico Food Resilience Plan : https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7b2qCe9P42yOTVYWlF1UXgtaWM
Right now, we are raising funds to assist in the costs of purchasing farm equipment, solar panels and solar powered generators, various survival supplies such as tents and tarps, water filtration and storage devices, first aid supplies and non perishable food items. Additionally, funds will be used towards the cost of shipping larger items.
These funds will enable our brigade and others to follow in bringing valuable skills and supplies to communities that need support now. And the intention to secure food access and a radical, creative, people-led economy for Puerto Rico’s future.
We are asking for you join us in this work through a contribution of funds, or by reviewing and purchasing from our amazon wishlist here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/31DK5TA6QH4FA
