Philadelphia Music Festival

My name is Adrienne Burg, and I am from the Bay Area, CA. I will be attending Oberlin Conservatory this fall as an oboe performance major to study with Mr. Robert Walters.

I have been invited this week to attend the Philadelphia International Music Festival, on very short notice. This is an incredible opportunity that would greatly further my musical education. I was awarded a scholarship, but it unfortunately does not cover the entire cost of the festival nor airfare. I am reaching out through GoFundMe  to help pay for this music festival because it is an incredible opportunity, and my family is already paying for my enrollment at Oberlin Conservatory. The youth orchestra I participated in throughout high school (Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra) is going on tour to China this summer, and my family has already paid for that trip. 

The festival’s full tuition is $3,500, not including airfare. They have given me some scholarship, though less than half, so I am asking for around $2,000 to help cover the tuition, and any donations over that amount will go towards my airfare. Any donation helps, and I am very thankful in advance!
