Philadelphia Montessori Summer Session 2019

Each June when school lets out, many of our students go on break without much planned for the summer. The "summer slide" is a real concern for our students and their families as many of them see a significant decline in knowledge over an academically-inactive summer.

Each summer, in an effort to combat the dreaded summer slide, Philadelphia Montessori Charter School (PMCS) holds a 5-week Summer Session aimed at providing academically stimulating programming coupled with traditional summer camp activities.

As a Title One school, we serve predominantly economically disadvantaged families and always aim to provide our summer session at a significantly discounted rate. It is open to our current students as well as all children living in SW Philadelphia. Along with the programming, we provide breakfast, lunch and a snack to all of our participants each day- something that is not guaranteed to many students over summer break.

Please help us provide this wonderful 5-week experience to children of SW Philadelphia. No donation is too small- everything is appreciated.
