Phil Para is recovering from quadruple by-pass heart surgery.

As a hard working musician, Phil has always relied on his weekly income from playing on stage to survive. He's been successfully doing this in Melbourne for the past 40 years.  The only things that match Phil's talent are his humbleness and his kindness to others. 

But this surprise heart attack has really put extreme financial pressure on Phil & Heather Para and their close family.

It is very important to Phil's recovery that he takes his time and that he has minimal pressure in his life right now.

Hopefully with the love and support of his friends and family Phil can return, guitar in hand, to the stages of Melbourne in six or so months time.
