Philip Lane Gattis, 50, of Lakeland, TN passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Methodist Hospital-Germantown. He was a project manager with Pyramid Electric and a member of Leawood Baptist Church-East. Philip was a devoted family man and loved his family dearly. He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Joy Thetford Gattis; children, Megan, Krista and John Robert Gattis all of the home; parents, Jack and Thelma Gattis of Germantown, TN; sister, Amanda Gibson (Scott) of Olive Branch, MS. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the Epilepsy Foundation Middle & West Tennessee, 95 White Bridge Road, Nashville, TN 37205 www.epilepsytn.org . Medical expenses of his own as well as caring for family with immense medical needs has left Phil's family in need of financial support from those that care for and love them.
