Help Phil Knight walk again

Hi, my name is Flann, and I'm fundraising for my uncle Phil Knight. He fell, on Sunday May 1, and completely tore his patellar tendon (the tendon which pulls the legs straight), in both knees. His day job is guiding in Yellowstone, which means he will be out of work for a while. This fundraiser is to help him and his wife with the loss of income and also with their medical bills.

Hi, I’m Ellen, Phil Knight’s sister. I am part of the campaign to help Phil and his wife Alaina navigate this devastating accident. My brother, Phil has dedicated his life to environmental advocacy and direct action. He is a fierce and energetic advocate for wild lands, wild life and all that wilderness and open space means. This work rarely pays in dollars, but the payback for all of us and the earth’s environment is priceless. Phil’s paid work is guiding guests in Yellowstone, helping them to better see this National Treasure and to get to know it’s “residents” through his knowledgeable lens. His recovery time to rehabilitate two legs to be able to walk with his normal long, confident stride, will be long. If you can show him a little love cash-wise as a thanks for his life work right now, it will help him continue to do the
work he is so good at in the future. Medical bills and loss of work can be devastating as we all know.  Let’s get him back out on the trails. His nick name is “Restless” for a reason.

 

Hi, I'm Tor, another of Phil's nephews. I'm also part of the campaign to help Phil walk again. I've always known Phil to be out on the trails advocating for the voiceless. Phil has a voice, but we are trying to make it just a little louder to make sure he gets through this tough time as quickly as possible. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, Phil here. It's hard to believe I am on the needing end of all this love and support that is coming in. But here we are. I'm so grateful for any assistance during this disaster. My wife Alaina also needs this support as she has got her hands way full now with my limitations ad may not be able to work a lot. You may know me but I am a long time conservationist and adventurer who has traveled far and wide in pursuit of exploring and protecting the Earth. Now my wings have been clipped. I am going to be going through months of hard rehab as the result of a 3-second fall.   But with your help I will be back stronger than ever. I have a new mountain to climb.
