Help Phil Carr Rebuild His Life After a Devastating Motorcycle Accident
On Thursday night, after attending his youngest child’s football game in Algonac, Michigan, our good friend Phil Carr was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident at the intersection of 32 Mile Road and Wolcott Road.
Phil was riding his motorcycle when a vehicle pulled out in front of him. Tragically, his 18-year-old son was riding behind him and witnessed the accident.
Phil was transported to the hospital and is currently in the ICU, facing an incredibly long and difficult road to recovery. As a result of the accident, Phil has already had to undergo the amputation of one of his legs. He has also suffered a severe, shattered fracture to his arm and will require extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery in the months ahead.
Anyone who knows Phil knows that he is the kind of guy who works hard, shows up for the people around him, and would be there in a heartbeat if someone else needed help. Phil is a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 324 and was employed by ASI.
Right now, Phil and his family need that same support returned to them.
The physical recovery will be difficult, but there will also be financial challenges that come with an accident of this magnitude—medical expenses, rehabilitation, time away from work, transportation, modifications, and the many unexpected costs that come with rebuilding his life after such a life-changing injury.
Our goal is to take some of that financial burden off Phil and his family so they can focus on what matters most: getting Phil through this fight and helping him build a new normal.
If you are able to donate, any amount will make a difference. If you aren’t in a position to donate, sharing this campaign and keeping Phil and his family in your thoughts means just as much.
Phil has a long road ahead of him, but he doesn’t have to walk it alone.
Please help us show Phil and his family just how many people are standing behind them.
Thank you to everyone who has already reached out, prayed, visited, called, or offered support. Every bit of love and encouragement matters right now.
