Phil and Rebekah Porter

Our Son and Daughter-in-Law Phil and Rebekah Porter have suffered a devastating fire at their home in Mississauga on Tuesday March 5th. The insurance coverage is not adequate to cover the disposal of all the damaged items – this includes dumpster rental etc… and the cleaning and storage of some items that can be saved.

They will also need help with accommodations as they cannot live in the house … and the renovation will take at least 8 months.

They have lost virtually everything – appliances, furniture, linens, mattresses and clothing …

We would like to help them out and give others the opportunity to join with us. The whole experience is very overwhelming – both physically and mentally as they deal with this…

They also lost 2 pets in the fire – their little dog Stella was found 20 minutes after the firemen got there – her white coat completely black … she was given oxygen and spent time at the vet to get checked out. We are thankful that she seems fine – their bearded dragon, Ginger was also given oxygen and is now residing with a family member in Hamilton.
