Phil and Donna Need Our Support Now
Donation protected
A few months ago the Petroff family was rocked by the news that Donna (Tarbell) Petroff has ALS. We’re heartbroken—but determined to surround her with the same comfort and love she’s always given others.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, gradually steals the ability to move, speak, and breathe while leaving the mind fully aware. Though there’s no cure yet, there is care—specialized equipment, skilled in-home nursing, and home modifications that make daily life possible. These costs add up fast and stretch far beyond what insurance covers.
Donna’s husband, Phil, still works full-time outside the home, yet now shoulders round-the-clock caregiving. Insurance helps, but it won’t cover the essentials that let Donna remain where she’s happiest:
Wheelchair-accessible van so Phil can get Donna to appointments safely
Entry ramp & widened doorways for smooth movement throughout the house
Roll-in shower & bathroom upgrades to preserve dignity and ease
In-home care and adaptive equipment for the hours Phil must be away at work
Every contribution—whether it’s a donation, a share, or a few encouraging words—brings us one step closer to keeping Donna at home, surrounded by family, friends, and the familiar comforts she loves.
Thank you for standing with the Petroff family on this journey. Your generosity means independence for Donna and peace of mind for Phil as they navigate life with ALS together.
