I'M IN DIRE STRAITS!

I am mortified to even do this! You have NO idea the amount of prayer that I have used to reach this conclusion. Honestly? I am DEVASTATED to have to ask for ANY help! But, my finances are, virtually, non-existent! Having over 43 non-paid days, in total, in the last 7+ months due to numerous health issues, set me way back, behind the 8-ball. Prior to that, I was making just enough to "get by," living paycheck to paycheck. Unfortunately, the parameters that are in place for ANY financial help, when I've been out of work, have been limited & strict...& I have not qualified for them. Just FMLA, where my job is protected...God bless them!

I return to work this Tuesday (January 16). But it will be a few paychecks (I get paid biweekly) before I can even begin to get back on my feet. I have hospital & medical bills in the thousands, even with my great health insurance! For the first time EVER, I couldn't pay 2 bills on time...both of them are completely maxed out credit cards & they have an APR of 29.94! I spoke with both companies & they will waive my late fees & I have 30 days to make the minimum payments (which is what I pay). However, they are both accruing interest in the meantime. I am, literally, hemorrhaging money! One jumped up from a payment of $294 due on 01-05 to $619. due 02-05! The other? From $382 due on 01-07 to $523 on 02-07! & EVERY single day, it gets worse!

I have rent, utilities, my car note, gas, auto & renter's insurance, medications, doctor's appointments, an annual vet bill, home necessities & groceries all due.

ANYONE who knows me, knows I do NOT squander money! I can't tell you the last time I bought something like clothing, or make up, or other non-priority items.

This week, I am applying for debt consolidation & looking for a supplemental job I can do from home. Because, bottom line is, I have more money going out than coming in...THAT'S why my credit cards are maxed out! For months, I have paid them down, just to have to reuse them! I am aware that any money, that comes as a result of this, is just a Band-Aid on the wound. Will it help save me, for now? Absolutely! But, I HAVE to incorporate long-term solutions.

I am NOT trying to "work the system!" I am desperate & cannot come up with any other alternative! I am humiliated, embarrassed, & my pride is shot!

The primary catalyst in all of this was my Dr! I saw her, last Thursday, & we talked about my immune system being weak & compromised. It's been like Dominoes! I get over one thing & go into something else. In the last 2+ years, I've had Bilateral antibiotic resistant pneumonia, had 2 mini-strokes, had a full hysterectomy & a HUGE uterine mass removed (non-cancerous, thank God!), surgery to repair my left femoral artery, another mini-stroke, Pneumonia, & now, Bronchitis! Coming up, I am having a mass on my sternum imaged (I KNOW, in my spirit, it is NOT cancer), a colonoscopy (my first, which is way overdue) & another surgery to help with the blood flow in the veins in my legs. (&, just so you know, between seeing doctors, taking meds, & losing 60 lbs. I am doing EVERYTHING I can to get healthy, once & for all!) I asked my Dr why I can't seem to maintain good health. & she asked if I was under stress. I explained this all to her & she said she believes THIS is a HUGE factor in getting, & staying, well. She pointed out how it IS called the "silent killer." & she advised me to do my utmost best to RELIEVE that stress! & THIS is the only thing I could come up, for this moment in time!

I am an open & transparent person, so ANY questions you may have, regarding this all, feel free to message me. If YOU have a different, or better, idea of how I can remedy this all, PLEASE let me know! I can't promise to pay y'all back (although, THAT would be my goal, IF, & when, I get stable again). If you don't want to contribute, of course...don't! NO ONE is obligated to help me! I am solely responsible for where I'm at, although it WAS greatly due to health issues beyond my control.
