My dads funeral funds

My father has been fighting cancer since April and doctors can't do anything to save him at this point. My dad feels that his parents, my grandparents will forgive him for his decision to be cremated because of him fear of being burried and alone, if he has a proper funneral and wake.  My family and I can't afford a proper funeral and wake for him. It's hard watching him go the way he is and losing him, giving him the wake he wants would make it a little easier knowing that it would make him happy.  Anything helps, it would mean a lot too him.
