This is not something I would normally do, but 2025 has been a tough financial year keeping my little farm going & keeping stock fed, ongoing hay price rises have really taken their toll.

If you are willing to help in any way at all, I would be beyond appreciative.

Little Paint filly Pheobe is just two years old and came with her beautiful mumma from SA to Trakerstead Ranch in Vic on a stock crate when Pheobe was still a young foal.

She was given to me by a friend who was doing it a bit tough and knew I could offer Pheobe a bright future later with training/ breaking in and becoming a good ridden prospect. We both had such high hopes for Phoebe's potential here at Trakerstead.

I've recently been concerned at Phoebe's slow growth and struggle to look really healthy despite the best of care. A veterinary visit revealed she has an erupted molar tooth and has very unfortunately a mouth full of very very poorly configured teeth. This is obviously impacting her ability to eat properly and gain sufficient nutrition.

I did initially book Pheobe in to be humanely euthanised on the same day I was having my beautiful old Appaloosa mare Matisse being laid to rest....but I just couldn't reconcile with euthanasia of a two year old.

My vet recommended it, but is also happy to support me trying to see if we can improve Phoebe's health and get some work done on her dental situation.

I'm looking to raise $3000 so her erupted molar and first round of dental work can be done.

She will require dental work every three months for the foreseeable future.

I'm going to work with my vets over the next 12 months and see if we can create a positive change for Pheobe and see her begin to thrive.

I know it may not work, but I need to at least try.
