My name is Nick and I am truly blessed to have the most wonderful family a man could ask for. My wife and I have been married for over 5 years now and we have a 4yr old girl and my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 6 weeks ago. They are the most important thing in the world to me. I am a very private person and don't usually share my problems with hardly anyone. I was recently in a accident on my way to treatment and work. Thank the Lord I was not injured other than a few cuts and bruises. I live in a small town about an hour outside of San Antonio (Bandera). I am also over 3 years sober ex-heroin addict. This is my longest stretch of sobriety, I have been battling the opiate addiction for the last 5yrs. I drive into San Antonio each day at about 4:30am to get my methadone treatment and counseling . After that I drive across San Antonio to a great job that I just got about a month ago. I use my truck for work each day and to pick up my daughter at the end of the day. Well my truck was totaled in the accident and I had liability insurance only because that's all we can afford. I have exhausted all options with trying to borrow the money, having other family contribute, and having no savings either to replace the truck. I kept the truck in perfect condition because I knew how much I depended on it. My wife has supported me through everything. She is the most loving, caring, genuinely good person I have ever met. If u met her you would say the same. She is fighting cervical cancer. The bills are piling up with that. This makes my problem seem insignificant but as a family it seems the financial pressures are just compounding. We both work very hard but barley make enough money to pay daycare each week and keep food in the pantry. I love my family so much and really hate to ask for money like this but I need a truck to work and help support my family and wife with her obligations as well. Not to mention care for our new blessing of a baby boy and beautiful daughter. Please give what you can it would be greatly appreciated.
