This is a GoFundMe for my dog, my first baby, my children's best friend. My husband and I got Alfie we got married, and he was our first baby. He's the best big brother my two sons could ask for, and he loves them deeply. This dog means the world to us, it's our first dog together, our boys' first dog. Alfie is only 4 years old.

He was hit by a truck, and has multiple injuries including multiple pelvis fractures and leg fractures. It was a very unfortunate accident. He was an inside dog, but when my husband was deployed, my kids and I came back to stay with my mom and stepdad, and we hadn't had a chance to get a kennel put up for them. It's been a hard transition coming back home and my husband being deployed. So, as hard as this is for all of us, we're not even able to be together for it.

Currently, he's in Ohio being prepped for surgery at MedVet and is stable. For a full recovery, he is required to get surgery but it's a steep cost. I've already paid alittle over $3,000 for his stay at a vet in Lexington where his initial treatment was, but that cost is not including the surgery he is having today. The surgery will cost between $6,000 to $8,000, depending on what they have to do. In total our cost is going to be around 11,000 dollars  if the surgery was to cost the full $8,000. The surgeon said that this surgery is the only way he could make a full recovery, and he is young and strong enough for the surgery. This was a terrible accident and the cost is a lot at one time. So, Any help at all for this cause would be greatly appreciated!
