In The Steps of the Light Horse

The Perth Hills and Wheatbelt Band has been approached to send a small band to Israel for the Centenary of the Australian Light Horse charge of Beersheba in October 2017.
The band will be involved in commemorative services and public concerts in several locations within Israel as well as providing musical support to the official commemoration and the re-enactment with 45 horses of the 1917 charge.
Another feature of this tour will be the world premiere of a piece of music composed by band members honouring the exploits of the Australian Light Horse through music and bush poetry.
Any money donated will assist to defray the band's accomodation and travel costs including transporting instruments from Australia.
The Perth Hills and Wheatbelt Band is a youth band from Western Australia. Our aim is to provide inspirational musical experiences for youth musicians in unique locations.
