We are raising funds for our sister, Rowena, a devoted single mother who is facing the unimaginable loss of her 15-year-old son, Phaszey, who tragically passed away last week in the Philippines.

Rowena moved to Canada last year in hopes of building a better future and eventually reuniting with her two sons. Like many immigrant mothers, she made the difficult decision to leave them behind temporarily, working tirelessly with the dream of bringing them to join her. She had not seen her children in over a year.

Now, instead of preparing for their reunion, she is grieving and navigating the heartbreak no parent should ever endure.

This fundraiser is to help Rowena with funeral expenses and to give her some peace of mind as she supports her younger son, Tyler, through this loss.

Phaszey was a loving son and grandson, an exceptional student, a loyal friend, and like a second child to many of his teachers. His absence is deeply felt by all who knew him.
