My name is Kevin Patterson. I am one of 6 children of Mary Thomas, who was my second mother by way of marriage to my father, Lawrence “Tee” Thomas. She passed away in the early morning of July 2, 2025, due to medical complications. Mary (Mom) was a mother whom one dreams of as a child, who loved to cook, spoil, pamper, joke, tell stories, and talk to you when you made a mistake. Very soft-spoken to those around her, she treated everyone with respect and kindness. My brothers and sisters and I are a blended family of color and love, but you would never know that when we interact as siblings of this family. We love hard and sometimes did not see eye to eye on some topics, but love kept us solid as a unit.

My family and I decided to start this GoFundMe because our family needs help financially to cover funeral costs, medical bills, and home arrangements for my family who will be uprooted from their home due to the loss of our mother. Please, if you can help, do what you can to support this cause in a time of sorrow and pain. But we are also enlightened to know that our mother is out of pain and with our Father and Lord (Jesus Christ) in His House in the Kingdom.
