Phaedra's Cancer Fund

My name is Phaedra and I am a 39 year old mother of 2. Recently I was diagnosed with breast cancer and am going to need aggressive treatment such as chemo, surgery, possibly radiation, and anti-hormonal treatment. I am a single mother, I do not receive child support, my work does not offer short term disability, and I have no other means of bringing in income. I work at a restaurant which means when I am not working due to treatments, side effects, surgery and recovery (which all will last roughly a year), I cannot pay for anything. As you can imagine, having to take care of my health is a huge undertaking, let alone having to worry about keeping a roof over our heads or keeping the power on. There are many out of pocket expenses I will have and will not be able to cover them.

I am not a person who asks for help easily. I have a problem with feeling like a burden to other's. However, I have been reminded several times that this is THE time to be asking for help. So here I am, holding out my hand and begging for help. I seriously appreciate any support that anyone is able to give. There are not enough thank yous.
