Hi everyone,

My name is Amanda, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my best friend’s mom, Darlene. 

Last year Darlene received a gut-wrenching breast cancer diagnosis that has aggressively metastasized from her breast into her bones. 

Several weeks ago, Darlene was admitted into the hospital. During her brief stay, her care team discovered two massive blood clots in her lung and leg. Unfortunately, due to Darlene’s fragile condition, we are unable to remedy this situation. With a grim “days to weeks, MAYBE months to live” prognosis, this has understandably turned everybody’s world upside down. 

She has since decided to spend the rest of her time left earth side at her son Jake’s house on hospice.

Darlene is so loved by everyone she meets. She has a soul you instantly fall in love with when you meet her. She is caring, talented and charismatic!

As you can imagine, this has taken a financial toll on the family. Therefore, we are asking for donations to assist with end-of-life services. The funds will be allocated towards hospice, cremation, funeral service, and whatever other medical bills that will come about.

Darlene is one of the strongest women any of us will ever know. She has given this cancer a run for its money and will fight until her last breath!
