In Loving Memory of Sunny – A Call for Support
It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of our dear friend Sunny, who fought a courageous and faith-filled battle against stomach cancer for over three years. Through every challenge, every round of treatment, and every step of this difficult journey, Sunny held on with strength and unwavering faith in the Lord—right until his final breath.
Throughout his fight, many of you offered your love, prayers, and generous support—whether emotionally or financially. Your kindness gave Sunny the chance to fight longer than expected, and brought comfort to him and his loved ones in the darkest times. Because of your support, Sunny lived over three years past his diagnosis. For that, we are truly and deeply grateful.
Sunny’s wife would like to say thank you. She is incredibly grateful for the help they received—she felt supported, seen, and never alone, thanks to the kindness of people like you.
Now, we are asking for your help once more.
Sunny’s wife came to Canada as a tourist from Nigeria just to be with him and care for him during his illness. She has been by his side, full of love and strength—but now, she finds herself grieving, jobless, and without financial resources. As a visitor in this country, she is not eligible for government assistance, and she now faces the overwhelming burden of planning and paying for Sunny’s funeral and burial on her own.
We are reaching out to you—those who have given before, and those who may be hearing this story for the first time—to ask for help in easing this burden. If you are able to give, no matter the amount, it will go directly toward covering funeral and burial expenses. If you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing this post with others who might be willing to help can make a big difference.
Let’s come together one last time to honor Sunny’s life and to support the woman who stood beside him with love, sacrifice, and grace.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your continued compassion.
