My name is Matt Harlfinger and l am the Head Boy's Track Coach at Franklin HS in North Carolina. We are raising funds for our program to assist with offsetting the cost of managing a team of 60+ athletes.

During our 2022-2023 Indoor season we have been able to travel our team to Liberty Univeristy twice and JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem twice! Each of these trips allows us to compete against some of the best kids in the country, raising our own personal performances in the process. We are 2 weeks out from our Indoor State Championship and are having the greatest Indoor season in school history. We have broken 10+ school records, we have gotten seniors track scholarships for college athletics, we have the highest number of athletes ranked in the top 8 for the 3A classification, and we have our hopes set high to finish among the top teams at the Indoor State Championship.

Off the track, we mandate that every kid in our program assists with community service projects! The past 2 years we have devoted 50+ volunteers to the Macon County Toys for Tots led by the 828 Vets. We also partnered with the Friends of the Greenway last year to assist with their annual Clean Up the Greenway Day.

In getting to this point, each Indoor facility we have been to incurred a cost of about $1500 for hotel, $800 for entry fees into the meet, and $200 to pay our bus driver. Each of our 3 trips so far have cost about $7500. All of which we raised last year to give our kids this year a first class opportunity to show case their talents.

We have positioned ourselves towards the top of the 3A classification for this year, but a majority of our depth is wrapped up in our upcoming classes. We have about 60 kids on our team, 8 are seniors, and we want to continue to provide this opportunity to the kids in our community for years to come.
