Aiden Kai Shapley was born Thursday night Feb 4th. My labor progressed way faster than anyone expected. I ended up having him at home. We had to call 911 because we could not get him to breathe, they life flighted him and kept him cool for three days before they could warm him again and do an MRI to check for brain damage. We felt hopeful, during the cooling process, when they warmed him he had to many seizures and the brain damage was too severe. After about nine hours of his body trying to breathe on its own he left us around 7am on Feb 9th, Because he was so healthy everything developed perfectly, including his brain. He just went too long without oxygen.
