Help Alex's Recovery
Donation protected
On Friday, September 3rd, Alex was brought to the emergency room due to a 10-day bout with Mono. When his parents realized he wasn’t improving it was time to seek help. Little did they know what they would find out. Soon after they arrived at the hospital it was clear Mono wasn’t the diagnosis. Alex was immediately flown to Boston Children’s hospital and scheduled for surgery to relieve pressure from a golf ball sized tumor found in his brain. When they arrived in Boston, Alex had lost his eyesight due to the tumor, and at that moment it was unknown as to the extent the damage the tumor had done. After a long surgery, Alex has remained sedated. The hope is that once he wakes up things will begin to improve. However, due to this terrible tumor it has now left him and his family with some financial hardships. Alex will need radiation and chemotherapy to shrink the parts of the tumor that were unable to be surgically removed. Jeremey has taken a leave from work, his girlfriend will need to drive back and forth for visits while they’re also supporting the 3 other children at home. Additionally, Alex will need physical and speech therapy, to which extent still needs to be assessed when he wakes up. Please consider a donation to help their family out during this unfortunate time of need.
