Hi, my name is Mayara – Maya to my friends :)

I am originally from Brazil, but I’ve been living in the UK with my family (my husband, our two beautiful children, and my mom) since 2018.

Back in Brazil, I have a cousin called Camila, who is the same age as me (33). Camila is a loving mom of two boys and a dedicated wife.

In 2021, Camila lost her mother to cancer, and soon after, she was also diagnosed with an aggressive type of cancer herself. It started as breast cancer, but sadly it has since spread throughout her body, leading to multiple surgeries. The most recent, about two months ago, was to remove a brain tumor. She had barely recovered from that surgery when she found out the cancer in her brain has returned, this time in a more difficult area that cannot be operated on. Doctors have also found three tumors in her spinal cord.

Camila and her family were already facing financial struggles because she could no longer work. Now, her husband has had to quit his job to care for her, as she is no longer able to walk due to the cancer in her spine.

We are trying to raise as much money as possible to help Camila and her family through this incredibly difficult time, and we are truly grateful for every single donation.
