Baby Mohammad M. Roshaan came into this world on February 2024 in Vancouver, Washington. His parents, Madina and Najib Roshaan, had moved to the United States only a few months earlier—in November 2023—hoping for safety, stability, and a better future for their growing family. But instead of joy and peace, they were met with every parent’s worst fear. Madina and Najib have 4 more kids as well.
Shortly after birth, baby Mohammad developed severe jaundice. Unfortunately, the condition was not diagnosed in time, and complications quickly followed. Soon after, Mohammad experienced his first seizure—what doctors later identified as infantile spasms, a dangerous form of epilepsy. He has since been diagnosed with:
Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy
Infantile Spasms
Developmental Disabilities
The seizures caused significant damage, leaving Mohammad with limited movement and developmental delays. For the past month, he has been hospitalized, fighting through treatments, tests, and countless medical interventions.
His father, Najib, has not been able to work for a long time because he stays at the hospital day and night to support his fragile baby. The family has no relatives in the U.S., no stable income, and is facing overwhelming medical and living expenses.
They are exhausted—emotionally, physically, and financially.
