Aug 9, 2025, record rainstorms hit Milwaukee, causing flash flooding around the city. My parents, Jim and Candy Endres, were unfortunate to lose their home. Over 18 inches of storm drain/sewer water rushed through the house like a river. Their entire living space was underwater, and all of their possessions have been ruined.

Insurance will not cover any of the damage, and they cannot rebuild, so they are forced to walk away from the wreckage. They are still responsible for their mortgages and certain expenses, like having just replaced the furnace last winter.

They are currently searching for a new place to live and will have to replace furniture like a bed and living area furniture, including basic needs, etc.

My parents live on a fixed income and have been devastated by the loss of almost all of their life possessions. Any assistance can help and will be put towards getting them into a safe environment with the necessities while we figure out what we need to do with the house and all expenses related to the damage.
