Help to survive Christmas

These past few weeks have been incredibly hard for us. My partner lost his job three weeks ago and only just started a new position, but he won’t receive his first paycheque until next month. I used all my savings to cover last month’s £2000 rent and bills, and now we’re struggling to make it through each day. I’m working two jobs, but with the cost of living so high, it’s still not enough to get us through Christmas.
We’ve always worked hard, never asked for help, and always tried to give back — donating, volunteering, helping others whenever we could. But now I’m heartbroken to admit that we need help. I can’t even afford my travel card this week, let alone a Christmas tree or a small gift for my elderly parents who are also struggling. As immigrants who have always stood on our own feet, this is deeply embarrassing and painful.
If anyone can spare anything to help us get through this tough moment, it would mean more than words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping a neighbour in need.
