Help Save Milo
Hi, my name is Tara, and I’m asking for help to save our sweet cat, Milo.
Milo is only 11 months old, but he has already been diagnosed with a serious condition that causes crystals to form in his bladder, leading to painful and life-threatening urinary blockages.
On December 20th, Milo had to be rushed to an emergency vet because he was completely blocked and unable to urinate. The cost to unblock him that night was $1,500. He was able to come home the same day and initially seemed to be recovering.
Unfortunately, this morning Milo went into severe distress again. We rushed him to Elizabeth Veterinary Hospital in Roselle, where we learned that he had reblocked. He is currently hospitalized and needs to be unblocked again, flushed properly, and monitored for two days, which will cost $2,000.
To prevent this from happening repeatedly — and to truly save his life — Milo will also need preventative surgery in the near future, which is estimated to cost $7,000.
Milo came into our lives unexpectedly almost a year ago as a rescue, but he immediately became family. Our 8-year-old daughter, Maggie, fell in love with him instantly, and he has become her best friend. She is incredibly attached to him and is heartbroken knowing he is in pain.
Every night when I sing Maggie her lullaby, Milo comes running in, humming along, rolling around, and soaking up the love. He is gentle, affectionate, and full of joy — and he deserves a chance to live a long, healthy life.
We are doing everything we can, but the medical costs have become overwhelming. Any donation — no matter how small — will help us keep Milo alive and get him the care he desperately needs. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, sharing, and helping Milo. ❤️
