Playa Animal Rescue is a legal, registered charity in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Our sister organization in the United States is a 501 3c registered charity. We receive no government funding, and rely entirely on donations to survive.

We have been in operation since March of 2012, and in that time, have rescued more than 500 abandoned, sick or injured dogs from the street.

We get all of our dogs 100% healthy, spay or neuter them, get them socialized, and find them loving homes across North America. While they are with us, they receive  unconditional love and kindness for the first time in their lives.

We are now facing a huge challenge; one that threatens our existence. We must pay the equivalent in pesos of $8,000 USD to the Mexican Federal Water Authority (Conagua) to secure our water rights. Without water, we cannot operate.

Please help us to continue rescuing in an area with tens of thousands of suffering dogs on the street. These dogs, when given a chance, make the most amazing family pets.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us, and for your support!
