Help Roscoe Walk Again
On July 21st, our sweet dog Roscoe’s life changed in an instant. He was running out the back door, full of his usual energy, when he caught his back leg on the storm door. He collapsed in pain, and we rushed him to the vet.
At first, we thought it was just a bad cut. The vet closed the wound and told us to keep him calm for two weeks. We followed every instruction, hoping he’d be back to his happy, playful self soon. But when we returned to have his stitches removed, we received heartbreaking news—Roscoe had completely ruptured his Achilles tendon. Without surgery, he will lose the use of his leg.
Finding a surgeon has been a challenge. We were turned away by multiple clinics because there are so few veterinarians in our area who can perform this complex procedure. After Some frantic searching, we finally secured an appointment at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Urbana, where they can perform the surgery Roscoe urgently needs.
This surgery is major and costly, but it’s the only way for Roscoe to walk and play again without constant pain. He’s not just a pet—he’s a member of our family, our loyal companion, and our source of so much joy and comfort.
We’re asking for help to cover the cost of his surgery and recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring us one step closer to getting Roscoe back on his feet. If you can’t donate, please share this story to help us reach more people.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for helping us give Roscoe the chance to run again.
