My 6 year old Nephew, Nicholas Cavazza, was diagnosed with Atopic Dermatitis when he was 5 months old. He has been battling this ongoing disease that has caused his skin to be susceptible to infection.
He recently had an "eczema flare" that could not be controlled to give him any relief from the itching.
On March 11, 2015, Nicholas was admitted to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida where they quickly admitted him; they started swab testing on him and put in an IV. It turns out he had 3 infections; his Eczema flare, MRSA, and Eczema Herpeticum.
He had a horrific spotted rash all over his body that made his hands so raw they looked like they were dipped in acid. His eyes were crusted closed for 2 days.

They gave him bleach baths twice a day, to kill the bacteria on his skin, that were too painful for his loved ones to even watch. They started him on 2 antibiotics, a sedative and pain killer, and his fever spiked to 104. They had an eye doctor come in to check his corneas because it affects the eyes and could cause blindness.
Nicholas's home care consists of wet and dry wraps on his arms, legs, neck and torso. He will continue antibiotics and is seeing an Allergist Immunologist. He is also currently on Cyclosporine, an autoimmune medication to control the eczema flare ups. This is an ongoing battle for this little boy. On bad days, he goes to school with wraps on. He has shown us all what the true definition of strength is.

This is just the start of a long healing process that consists of doctor visits, medications, wound care supplies, and specialists. The list goes on for the amount of care needed to give this little boy the quality of life he deserves without suffering.

Please consider donating to help finance the medical bills Nicholas has and will continue to have.
The entire family thanks you in advance for your support and prayers.
