Hi, my name is Chelsea. My wife and I were driving from Texas to Florida and in Mississippi I saw a dog pop his head on the side of the road. I did a uturn and went to see if he was okay. He unfortunately was hit by a car and was laying in the side of road suffering. So I told my wife to get a spot cleared for him and I loaded him up not knowing where to take him and hit the road to find a veterinarian to help. We called about 10+ veterinarians and all closed and u til we found a vet hospital open an hr away. So we drove there thinking if he can just make it there maybe he can either go peacefully or get the help he needed. So I get there rush him and they take him back and come back and say he has a good chance of making it. So the plan was to let them do what they can for the next 48hrs and then we see what is next. His pelvis is broken and will need surgery and they are saying that is going to be 4K- 6k for that. I already gave 2k for him to be taken care of for the first 48hrs. They said with surgery he will be able to walk again. He did pee so that is a good sign they said. I have never asked for help but I need some help with this little guy. He is a black pug and about a to 2 years old they think. So lots of life to live. I will post more pictures when the vet sends them. I am going back to Texas Friday so I need to possibly bring him back with me and need to find help here or a new home for him to recover and live out his days. Please anything will help me.
