Gavin was admitted to the ICU on 3/4/20 where he spent 6 days with us not knowing if he would wake up. We took turns staying with him over night waiting for him to wake up. Day 3 he was intubated and not breathing on his own. Day 4, after days and nights of praying, hoping and patiently waiting he started moving and began to breath on his own. Day 5, he was extubated and breathing on his own. Day 6, he finally woke up and began to talk, eat and walk. He was then moved out of the ICU and into a regular hospital room. He is still on the road to recovery. He has no memory of the last two weeks, has a slur and stutter. We are helping him to recall information little by little and is currently in therapy. We are so very blessed to have Gavin with us and we thank everyone for all the prayers and the help that we had from family and friends as we continue to get through this. Eddie has missed a lot of work and the medical bills have begun to come in as well as our other bills. If there is any way you can help us, even if it’s a few dollars, we would greatly appreciate it❤️❤️❤️
