This account is set up for my Little Sister, Shawn Worrell Peppers and her 3 girls. Shawn has been diagnosed with Stage 4+ Terminal Colon Cancer.
In January 2015 Shawn went to the ER with pains in her stomach. After x-rays, CT, MRI and blood work, she was told she had Ovarian Cancer. The pain continued and her belly swelled to a size that made her look as if she where 6 months pregnant. She had 2 rounds of paracentesis performed to drain over 4 liters of fluid from her belly and started Chemo Treatments. When she returned the next week to have another paracentesis because her belly had swelled again, they did an ultrasound and told her there was no fluid everything was solid. After another round of Chemo, the Drs did a biopsy and they immediately stopped Chemo. Now telling her she has Colon Cancer, and set her up for a Colonoscopy the next week. A few days later Shawn was admitted to the hospital when she started vomiting violently. The tumors had her colon so backed up that she could not have the Colonoscopy and the only way they could do surgery was if her system started working on its own. After many failed treatments to empty her bowels it was determined that there was nothing else that could be done. Shawn is now resting in a Hospice Care Facility. All of this has been very hard on Shawn and her three girls.
Shawn is only 42 and a loving mother of three girls (ages 4,17 & 20). Her husband passed away in 2008. She has a very big heart and has always had an open door for her friends and family, and has always been the one to help and take care of others in times of need. Please consider donating any amount to help with Shawns treatment and the well being of her girls. Please be in prayer for comfort and peace.
