My son was diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitis 10 years ago at the age of 26. Life changing . He is both type I and II diabetic. The last couple of years have been really difficult. An onset of diabetic ulcers on his feet. Which has come with infection and then IV therapy for weeks at a time. Lost count how many times. At least 4 surgeries to try and elevate the pressure wounds. Been in the hospital 4 times with DKA. Diabetic keto acidosis. Back in March a new pressure wound with infection and back on IV therapy for weeks and then the amputation of 2 toes. No weight bearing for 3 months. So a lot of laying in bed. 2 weeks after doctor releases him back to work, he breaks his ankle. No weight bearing for another 3 months. It’s just been one thing after another. As a mother it’s the most difficult thing to watch your child suffer and slowly wither away. Him and Eden, (my granddaughter) live with me. With him being not able to work it’s been difficult to keep up with the monthly bills, gas and groceries. Trying to stay positive and having the faith that things will work out for the best as long as we keep pushing forward and wake up each day with a grateful heart. These last 6 months have been rough but I’m staying strong.
So I’m just looking for a little help getting caught up on the bills and some much needed groceries. Any little bit will be gratefully appreciated, even prayers and positive vibes. Thank you all for your time and consideration.
Love to you all,
Love Michelle
