Hello, my name is Kirsten. I write this with a very heavy heart. A couple of days ago my 5 week old nephew, whom just happens to be the sweetest little baby boy, was rushed to the hospital. This has been a heartbreaking and terrifying experience for our family, to say the least. He is currently in critical condition fighting for his life. I ask that you please spread the word that we are looking for donations to help pay for his medical bills and to allow his parents to take time away from work to be by his side at the hospital. More than that, we ask for your prayers. We pray that God gives Ezra the strength to recover, that the doctors gain the wisdom needed to treat him and that a sense of peace shower the family. “My sweet baby boy is currently in the ICU fighting for his life. His lungs collapsed and things were not looking good at all when we first got him to the hospital.

The doctors sedated him and had him on a ventilator, it wasn’t helping. One of his doctors decided to take a risk and try a different type of ventilator that had more concerns attached to it but praise Jesus it worked. His lungs finally opened up and his Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide levels returned to a normal range. After getting him stabilized the doctors wanted to wean him off of this ventilator and back into the one he originally started with because it is less aggressive and has less risk. It did not work so for now he is going to stay as he is.

He is stable but still very sick. And I have faith that God is going to see Ezra through this even though it might be a long road.

When he was born 5 weeks ago in a car on the side of the road after being sent home from the hospital all while my husband was in a different state, I said that was the hardest thing I’ve been through.

I was wrong. THIS is the hardest thing I’ve ever been through.

Watching my son fight for his life, sedated, hooked up to several machines, wires everywhere— and I can’t help him physically. All I can do is pray and trust God with ever fiber of my being. I know a lot of people have been praying for him and a lot of people have questions. We are grateful for all of your prayers but we still have no answers. The doctor’s and nurses working with him are doing everything they can and are taking good care of him.

I do my best in life not to ask for too much from others but right now I am asking everyone to pray for Jesus Christ’s healing hands over my baby boy. Pray for a miracle.”
