Dear friends and family,
We are reaching out on behalf of our friends Kurt and Anne Pfaff and their family. In late November, Kurt was diagnosed with end-stage congestive heart failure and underwent emergency valve replacement surgery. When this proved unsuccessful and following extensive diagnostics, Kurt was approved as a recipient for a heart transplant. He is currently hospitalized in San Francisco, with Anne staying nearby to provide support as they wait for a donor heart to become available.
Fortunately, they have funds to cover the basics, but we are creating this campaign to ease the burden of expenses like lodging, meals, parking and transportation for Anne and the family. With these costs mounting and continuing into the foreseeable future, we’d like to help ensure that they do not deplete their savings.
Many people have asked how to contribute. By donating or by sharing this page—you can join the effort to give Kurt the best possible chance at a healthy future. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to easing the financial stress so that Kurt and his family can focus fully on healing.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. Your support and kind words mean more than we can express.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity,
Sylvia Haultain and Erika Williams
