Nick Murray Fundraiser

Hi all, my name is Cam Read and along with Lawro, Amo, Hewy and all the lads, we are reaching out to both update everyone and ask for your kind support of our mate Nick. Many of you were so supportive with our planned fundraiser - but we now have much more understanding medically of Nick's plight - and it is going to be a long haul.

Nick's affairs and "competence" are in the hands of the medical advisors and state trustees as he works towards being allowed back to work. Timelines on this are frankly unknown. Alix, Archie and Fred are now living with Nicko to help support his recovery, all of which has an unknown end-point.

His days are filled with rehab, medical appointments and scans, rest and ongoing medical challenges, the most recent hospitalisation for a full Grand Mal seizure again hampering his recovery - the latest of many complications.

All of you know Nicko is a proud man - and those that know us, know we would not be asking for your support unless necessary.

The process is slow, bills are mounting and we are taking the appropriate measures to sell assets and support his ongoing recovery, but financial stress and the fear of losing what he has worked for is weighing heavily - with no end point in sight.

So we are reaching out for help. We want to support Nicko to be able to concentrate on his recovery, whilst the process of medical competence is completed. At this point, the only way to do this is with kind support from his friends and family. There is no timeline on this.
