The Gateway to the Army Association (501-C3) is planning, building and funding "Centennial Park" for Fort Jackson, South Carolina in honor of its 100-year anniversary. The park will feature a community amphitheater, covered pavilions, granite statues and monuments, a "Pathway of Patriots" in which granite pavers will be placed honoring American Patriots, and other components to honor the selfless service of your fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, family members and friends who served or are serving in the world's greatest Army.
We have raised more than half of the $2.7 million needed to build this park and we need your assistance to finish the job! Please visit our website: www.gatewaytothearmy.org and consider making a donation to our GoFundMe campaign and then please share the website and GoFundMe information with your social networks.
The funds will be used to purchase and build the Soldier statue pedestal, landscaping and various other components of the granite structures for Centennial Park. This is intended to be a national outreach campaign and, with your help, we can achieve this goal! Thanks for your support!
Since September of 1917, Fort Jackson has been the Gateway to the Army for more than a million well-trained soldiers. These soldiers have gone all around the world defending our great Nation not only achieving greatness for our country but for themselves.
Work is underway on the construction of Centennial Park, the centerpiece being the Wildcat Amphitheater. With a 150-person capacity, it will serve as the perfect venue for reenlistment, promotion and retirement ceremonies as well as marriages and other events.
Maybe you or a family member entered your military career at Fort Jackson. If so, you have seen first-hand the impact that this base has on the formation of each soldier. Now, it is time for us to give back to Fort Jackson.
