Peyton's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
For those of you who know Peyton John, know that he is the happiest, most loving four year old (and big brother!) around. He is always laughing and ready to build something, or play with his cousin. Even now, he has managed to keep a smile on his face, even if that is not the case for the rest of us.

It was no surprise to see Peyton full of life, and full of energy until now. It began with the decline of his ability to walk correctly, which originally rose the suspicion of his Mom, Jessica, and grandma Linda. As time progressed, they noticed not only was there a decline in his ability to walk, but his speaking, control and use of his arm, and overall demeanor had changed, and it had changed drastically over the course of a couple days. This of course promted a doctors visit, which lead to a series of visits to specialists, multiple testing, and eventually and MRI.

Upon completion of this MRI, we discovered the worst. Not only did they discover this loving, sweet child had a tumor growing inside of his brainstem, we also learned that because of the location it was inoperable. Because treatment options are limited to radiation, with hopes of it shrinking, the prognosis is not one we hoped for.

Peyton's treatment plan includes 5 days a week of radiation for 6 weeks. And because of his age, this includes sedation everytime. And even with radiation, we can only hope for shrinkage and not a cure. Peyton's Mom, Jessica and Dad, Lorenzo, also welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world, just this past May as well.

As you can imagine, this prognosis of a small child given at best case scanario two years left on this planet has taken a toll on his entire family emotionally, the financial toll will sure be devistating as well. I wanted to start this campaign to help his loving, caring parents the ability to be with him as much as possible while he is still with us without worrying about time off work, afford his treatment, and help coushion any expenses that come with this terrible battle.

I firmly believe that Peyton will be the exception, and not the rule. And against all odds will come out of this stronger than ever. We love you buddy.

Even if you cannot donate at this time, we ask that you keep Peyton, in your thoughts and prayers, and share this campaign so that others may pray for him as well. Thank you.
