Funeral Expenses for Peyton McIntyre

Edit : Peyton passed away August 26th 2024 at 3:32pm

Peyton McIntyre was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer the first week of March 2024. Peyton's cancer was decreasing after receiving quadruple chemo doses, the doctors were shocked, as he was so strong for his age and for having stage 4 cancer. He was then placed on immunotherapy, during this time (9 weeks) cancer came back in full swing and had increased.

Peyton McIntyre, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, is nearing the end of his battle with Stage 4 cancer. His family is heartbroken, and they are struggling to cope with the financial burden of his funeral and other expenses.

On the 12th of August, he was having a great day visiting with family and he went for a nap, when he woke up he could not walk or sit up. His family rushed him to emergency and the doctors thought he had pneumonia after being admitted. The doctor and nurses could not find out what was happening after a week in the hospital in St. Paul. After two CT scans it was discovered that the cancer had spread significantly. He was then provided with a 3-week life expectancy from his oncologist. Two days later he was unable to walk or speak. He has been provided with a much shorter life expectancy now instead of weeks, his family is looking at days. His family had to transport him from Ashmont to St. Paul, then Cold Lake back to St. Paul, then from St. Paul back to Ashmont then from Ashmont to Cold Lake then from Cold Lake to Bonnyville, then Bonnyville to Ashmont then from Ashmont to Edmonton, to die at home, as the area does not have ambulances.

June McIntyre, Peyton's wife of 54 years, is left to pick up the pieces and make arrangements for his final farewell. Together, they have built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and memories. But now, they need our support to help them through this difficult time.

The cost of funeral arrangements, travel expenses for June and her family, and other related expenses are overwhelming. That's why we're asking for your compassion and generosity. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference.

Your contribution will not only help ease the financial burden on June and her family but also provide them with the comfort of knowing that their beloved Peyton will receive a dignified and meaningful farewell.

Let's come together and support June and her family during this challenging time. Together, we can show them that they are not alone in their grief and that our community cares deeply about them.
