Peyton Goughs NICU Help

Hello everyone!

We have been asked by multiple friends, family, and even some strangers if or when we will have a go fund me. After much discussion and a deep dive on our situation, Zac and I have made the decision to start this as we are in need of some help.

Peyton James Joseph Gough was a happy surprise for us when we found out we were pregnant. We were going through the pregnancy with hardly any symptoms, outside of mom craving Canes, and we were struck by surprise at a routine OB appointment when blood pressure concerns were brought up. They told us to grab a blood pressure cuff and monitor it from that day forward and told us the parameters to watch out for.

Well, the parameter was exceeded on December 16th when I was at work and wasn't feeling right, I took my blood pressure which was 185/123 and I called Zac to tell him I was calling my OB and we were immediately told to come in. On the drive down we even talked about where we would go for dinner that day after we left the doctor. Jokes on us we were admitted and transferred via ambulance to a higher level hospital and 3 days later my severe pre eclampsia developed into HELLP syndrome and Peyton was delivered via emergency C Section at 1 lb 9 oz. So far he has been in the NICU for 70+ days and we are expecting a few more weeks at least for our stay, this will include a surgery for him. We were told to expect a number of follow ups after he comes home with different specialists and specific micro preemie things to watch out for.

That all being said, the hospital bills are starting to come in and we are both back at work doing what we can to stay ahead of this but we have reached a point where we need to ask for help. Zac and I are doing our best to prevent any kind of collections concerns. We want to be in the best position we possibly can for Peyton and to provide him with the best start in life. We appreciate any and all help from everyone and can't wait to show how he progresses through this tough first year. Thank you ahead of time to everyone!!
