Help Dad with medical bills
Donation protected
As most of you know, my father, Erik Lewis, was recently diagnosed with melanoma. According to his most recent follow-up, the cancer is about 1.2mm deep, which is just deep enough for it to be in the lymph nodes. So he will be headed to the University of Michigan soon both to have his lymph nodes checked out, and to have the surgery required to remove the melanoma. If everything is well in the lymph nodes, this should be the end of treatment, however my family has had many setbacks with their insurance company and unfortunately they will have to pay out-of-pocket. From their early estimates, the combined medical bills will cost them around $10,000 to $15,000. My parents are both Christian School teachers, so you can imagine that payments like that are not going to be easy for them. It's not in my nature to ask people for money, but this is becoming an urgent situation, and it has become as much if not more of a source of stress for my family than the cancer itself. Any donations, however small, would be greatly appreciated, and, to be honest, needed. If you're unable to donate anything, then I just ask that you would pray or continue to pray for my father and our family. Thank you!
