Hi, reaching out to you all on behalf of Chris Colby aka Christopher Paul Edmunds, a mentor and friend. People who know me as Lorinda (Rindy), will have worked together with Chris & David, I find myself driven to make you all aware of Chris Colby health situation. Thanks everyone. Love Rindy XXX
Chris Colby is a professional theatre director and producer who has dedicated his life to the performing arts- mentoring, inspiring and supporting everyone around him.
Over the years Chris has worked all over the world and UK with some of the biggest names and most talented people in the industry, always giving his time, care, and creativity to help others achieve their best.
But its now, that Chris needs our help, he has touched so many of our lives and helped us all.
In his amazing life from his wonderful family to friends and associates along the way, he’s always there to support and help in anyway he can.
The past three years have been unimaginably difficult for him, Chris endured the heartbreaking loss of his lifelong partner, David Kort, followed by the passing of his wonderful father, and most recently his and David’s beloved little cat CoCo who he and David rescued.
And now, just as he begins to rebuild, Chris has been diagnosed with Cancer in more than one site.
To make matters even worse, he was defrauded by his insurance provider after paying faithfully into what he believed was a legitimate policy, he discovered – in the middle of his first treatment, he had no coverage at all. This means Chris must now pay for every test, treatment, operation and hospital visit entirely out of his own funds, he has sold everything he can thus far, but with necessary crucial Chemotherapy and operations that are now ahead of him, it's becoming a very stressful and worrying situation for him, when he should be using all his energy to fight this fight.
Despite all he’s faced, Chris continues to show courage, dignity, kindness and sense of humour – the same qualities that have touched so many people throughout his life and career.
He continues his passion to work in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), and he has to keep himself busy and won’t let anyone down, everyone who knows this wonderful man will understand that. Financially it's also necessary.
Now it’s our turn to give back.
Your donation will go directly toward Chris’s medical expenses and treatment, helping to ease the enormous financial burden he faces and allowing him to focus on healing and fighting his cancer.
Chris has always been there for others- lifting spirits, creating opportunities, and inspiring those around him. Let’s come together to support him now, just as he has supported so many of us.
