Petra’s Dental Expenses

Hey everyone, my name is Jacob Robinson. A few days ago I received a phone call about a young Malinois. She had been roaming the streets and an amazing gentleman grabbed her in order to find her owners. He walked the neighborhood and surrounding area for several days trying to find the owner. He posted adds in the local social media sites and took her to the vet to check for a microchip. After 3 weeks, he could no longer keep her as he has his own dogs and a rescue he is fostering. I agreed to take her in knowing she had some damage to her teeth. Today we took her to a vet to find out the extent of the damage. It’s horrible. This 7-9 month old pup had her teeth filed down to damn near nothing by some disgusting individual. She needs surgery to remove the decaying teeth and will more than likely need implants to provide structure to her jaw bone. She is currently in a lot of pain and is on medication for the infection. We are taking her to a specialist for the surgery as a normal vet won’t touch it. The estimated cost is around 6,000. Anything made above and beyond that will be donated directly to a non profit organization to help place service and companion dogs to veterans.
