PETITION TO SAVE TOASTWRLD

I’m fundraising on behalf of my good friend & partner, Toast - proud parent of two Russian Blue feline children(;

Currently Toast is in need of emergency rental support because Hennepin County funding is prioritizing residents in need of down payment assistance. They received an official eviction notice for missing (only) April’s rent payment, resulting from lack of work due to being hospitalized for 3-weeks.

As an educator, youth worker, & peacebuilding scholar they expressly focus energies into upholding community, having been continuously over-employed (AKA workaholism) throughout their entire adult life.

I am writing this gofundme in support of this talented & compassionate human so they can focus on the healing of body & mind in efforts to make a positive impact locally, without the pressure of homelessness chasing at their heel.

Just in the last eight months (at 33 years) they were diagnosed with Bi-polar Disorder, Complex-PTSD & ADHD, starting along the path to seeking treatment for mental wellbeing. Alongside these symptoms, they bear the daily grind of chronic pain (showing up as: muscle/joint inflammation, migraine/cluster headaches, neck/shoulder strains due to past injuries or severe accidents) which have made it near impossible to continue employment while pursuing quality healthcare.

Toast has courageously & consistently advocated for their mental/medical health - amidst starting a new full-time position at work & losing insurance for two months.

Post-hospitalization they are currently continuing care in a partial-hospitalization-program five days a week.

Please give what you can to keep my favorite human from losing their apartment - TOASTWRLD has been an open door & safe haven over the past 7 years for many friends in need themselves.
