"It all began late in August 2016. I suffered a catastrophic heart attack, where I collapsed on my garage concrete floor knocking out my 3 upper front teeth. I was very lucky to have a friend nearby that found me and performed CPR until the ambulance and help arrived. 9 times they jumped my heart before getting it going.
For the first week I was hospitalized in a coma. Family members were told to come visit as they didnt think I would make it to the end of the week. With love and support from friends and family I started showing improvement.
I ended up having a triple bypass. Shortly after heart surgery, I had 90% blockage in my carroted arteries with the threat of a massive stroke and another heart attack.
Only by accident, this last week doctors discovered a massive tumor on my right kidney. After being determined cancerous, they informed me that my one kidney has to be removed.
I'm grateful to God to be alive at this time. With my many prior surgeries and more coming up, in addition to being out of work for the past seven months, my financial situation is deteriorizing. My front teeth are still missing until I am able to afford a partial. Expenses keep adding up and it has become very difficult."

Pete Nelsen is a wonderful friend and father. The effects of these major health conditions, as Pete has mentioned, have not only been mental and physical, but have been a financial burden as well.
We all know medical bills and being unable to work is stressful, and we believe Pete needs and deserves to fight this cancer with minimal stress and tons of support!
Support comes in many forms. If you are able to make a financial contribution, that is great! But please do not think there is nothing you can do if you are unable to donate financially. Kind words, encouragement, and a daily prayer go a long way.
Thank you in advance for being a part of Pete's recovery!
