Hi, my name is Rachel, I am based in the UK.
I am raising funds on behalf of the community of Petersville in Westmoreland, Jamaica.
As you may of heard, Jamaica was recently struck by the devastating category 5 hurricane Melissa, with Westmoreland taking the full force of the storm. Many families have lost their homes, with a large part of the parish are without electricity, clean water, or access to food. I've had very limited contact with my family since the hurricane, but I know the community is suffering greatly, and is in dire need of supplies.
My goal is to support the community of Petersville, a small rural area near Whitehouse, where my mother and family come from.
All funds will go directly towards,
- Materials to help rebuild homes
- Providing food, toiletries, and other basic necessities for those most in need.
Jamaica is a beautiful island, we are very resilient and will rebuild but we need your help to make this possible. Jamaica has always given so much to the world, even when it had little to give. Please help us restore the community of Petersville to the amazing place it was, and will always be.
