Pete St. James dialysis/transplan
Donation protected
As some of you may know, my husband Peter has been fighting kidney disease for the past 11 years. He has now come to the point where he will be starting dialysis and by Summer's end we will be starting our quest to find him a kidney and he will be also placed on the National kidney transplant list. Once placed on the list it is usually a five to seven year wait to receive a cadaver kidney. We will at that time begin our Quest to seek a live donor which would allow him to receive a transplant much sooner.
Pete St. James has been a well known musician in the area, performing for over 40 years. He has played in several area bands, most notably a member of Tracer, Stonebridge, Riverside, Quickdraw, Daddy O and the Sax Maniacs, and Outta the Blue. Throughout those years he has given his time and talent to play for a ton of benefits and fundraisers to help support those in need. Playing is his passion, and as long as this disease will allow, he will continue to play for benefits and fundraisers to help others.
We are hoping to help offset some of the bills and medical expenses not covered by insurance for dialysis, travel expenses to the transplant center, and help towards getting a relaible used vehicle to assure we can make it to dialysis 3 times a week, and to the transplant center visits. (these visits are out of town, and will become more frequent the further into transplant we progress) .
Peter has recently undergone several surgical procedures to prepare for the dialysis and hopeful transplant. These procedures and visits require him to have his "support person " (me) at every transplant procedure and appt, which limits the amount of time I am able to work.
We would greatly appreciate any amount if you are able to donate. If unable, we ask you to please keep Peter (husband, father, grandfather, friend) in your prayers, and please share our story. God Bless and a very heartfelt thank you
